Home entertainment has changed exponentially over the past 60 or 70 years.  The home audio visual experience a few decades ago was mainly limited to a black and white television, a record player and an analogue radio that often crackled and hissed.

20th and 21st century technology has changed all that, with huge advances across the years. The first big change in home entertainment was the colour TV, whilst cassette tapes became an additional music medium. Then followed the CD player, quickly followed by the video recorder, then cable and satellite TV transmissions and the DVD player – the two latter developments have transformed the home entertainment experience.

This media explosion has resulted in a need for home entertainment furniture to house our TV, DVD player, satellite receiver, hifi etc, and for media storage to organise our growing CD and DVD collections.
