Developed by NASA, memory foam has revolutionised the comfort offered by modern seating and bedding. It works by responding to body heat, moulding perfectly around the source of compression to offer total, customised comfort. The seating and mattress in our Milan 2.5-seater sofa bed uses Reflexion, a double-layered memory foam system to deliver improved performance over ordinary foam seating. Meanwhile, two layers of high-density, visco elastic foam make up the 3" mattress in the bed, comprising a harder memory foam supportive base and a softer, 1½" memory foam top. Together, they offer optimum sleeping comfort. By distributing weight more evenly, Reflexion relieves pressure problems helping to alleviate back pain, fibrositis and painful hip joints. The sofa bed mechanism comes with a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee.
