We are always looking for ways to enhance our homes, and rugs are one of the simplest ways to give a room a whole new look. A rug can make a real statement in a living room or dining room, especially if you have wooden floors. Wool is our most popular fibre for rugs and runners, not just because it is the traditional material used in handmade and hand tufted rugs, but also because it is very hardwearing, has a distinctive sheen and retains colour well over the years. Manmade fibres are, however, becoming increasingly sophisticated, and can offer equally hardwearing properties and very high quality at surprisingly low prices.
