Water Features
It was a certain celebrity TV gardener who set the trend for water features - not merely tranquil ponds but stunning, decorative creations emitting powerful fountain-like jets or gentle, relaxing bubbles. Now all keen gardeners are looking for new and more creative ways to work with water. There are several reasons why water features can benefit your garden. Firstly and most importantly, they can create structural interest for your garden, a focal point for a large lawn or patio. A fountain can also look wonderful as the centrepiece for a sweeping drive.
Secondly, water features will help to attract wildlife to your garden. They provide wild birds with a place to drink and bathe, especially if the water is kept fresh and clean with an electric or solar pump. Thirdly, a fountain or miniature waterfall can be wonderfully therapeutic. There's nothing more relaxing than sitting beside a water feature in your garden or conservatory and dozing away a hot summer afternoon to the sound of gently trickling water.
At Scotts we offer decorative installations - many are solar-powered and maintenance-free so they need no expensive and obtrusive wiring around your garden - as well as accessories to maintain your pond.
