Limoges Is As Popular As Ever

My partner and I recently sold our house to buy a new, bigger one for the future. When we moved in, we knew we had to buy some new items to furnish our dining room, as we didn't have one in our old house. So, after we had finished the move, unpacking our things and getting to know the new area and neighbours, we decided to go shopping for the furniture and items we needed,

We did a lot of looking around and comparing products and prices and eventually bought a dining room table, chairs to match and a Shaker style cabinet to hold various items such as plates and bowls. However, one thing we couldn't decide upon was the actual dinnerware we wanted to use; he liked one design and I liked another. Since we couldn't find anything, we went home empty handed on the dinner set front and decided to look on the Internet instead. Still we couldn't find anything, but this wasn't a problem because that weekend I visited my parents and they gave me a set of Limoges dinnerware that they had had since I was a child.

I was really pleased, especially when I took them home and my partner liked them as well. However, being such treasured possessions, I was worried they would get broken or damaged in some way, which made me hesitant to use them for anything other than display purposes. We couldn't go on like this, so when I was browsing the Internet one day and came across a retailer selling Limoges dinnerware at a reasonable price, I felt we really had to buy some for everyday use. It was great as well because they were listed as being dishwasher and microwave safe - something that the older Limoges dinnerware set wasn't.

We had had our new Limoges dinnerware set for a month or so when we held a dinner party for some friends. When we served the meal, one of them immediately said how much they liked the plates we were serving on - this of course was part of our new set and we were happy to show them off. After dinner, I showed my friend the online retailer the website I had brought them from and emailed her the link so she could look into it more when she returned home later that evening. When I next spoke with her, she said she had bought two sets, one for her and one for her parents.

I still have both sets of my Limoges dinnerware, and use the newer one on a regular basis. However, there is a large range of Limoges sets available, so I may have to look into buying another one in case of accidental breakages (some may say this is an excuse to go shopping, but that would only be speculation).

I have also been using the same retailer I bought the dinnerware set from to buy other things for our home. We are still in the process of furnishing the rest of the rooms, as it needed quite a lot of work when we bought it. It is definitely good to have a trusted retailer for these things as I don't like waiting too long to get things done.
