We expect to deliver most items within 10 days. We do however ask you to allow 14-28 days for delivery as the Scotts of Stow web site specialises in products at the leading edge of technology and certain items need to be customised to your needs. Many of the items we offer are sourced from locations world-wide. These items can sometimes take slightly longer to be delivered than items we purchase from UK suppliers.
Our standard rate for Postage & Packing (P&P) is £4.95 per order no matter how many items your order. The standard delivery charge for N.Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and UK islands is £6.95. Regrettably we are unable to export to Eire.
With effect from 6th May 2008 deliveries into the Channel Islands are governed by the new 3% Jersey Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Unfortunately our current mail order software is unable to produce the necessary documentation in the format required by the Jersey Tax Office and therefore reluctantly we have had to temporarily suspend deliveries to the Channel Islands.
Heavy or over-sized items require special delivery and can only be delivered between Monday and Friday. These items are identified on the website by the use of Red Lorries and attract supplementary delivery charges as follows:
= £15.00
= £30.00
£55.00 per item to N.Ireland.
£75.00 per item to Scottish Highlands and UK Islands.
Customers who live outside UK mainland wishing to buy 2-man delivery items (identified by two red lorries) will be advised on the Checkout page how much the additional delivery supplement will cost.
We can send orders to BFPO addresses, please ensure you use the Manual Address option when inputting your address details or registering, this will enable you to clearly advise us of the BFPO address to be used. Regrettably red lorry items cannot be delivered to BFPO addresses.
There is only one flat rate charge of £4.95 for P&P however many items you order (£6.95 for outlying areas), unless you're asking for individual items to be sent to different delivery addresses in which case there is a charge of £4.95 for each additional delivery address. Floral bouquets also incur an additional £4.95 special delivery charge.
We do offer Express Delivery - this is a special delivery service if you require your order more quickly. If you place your order before midday Monday to Friday it will be delivered next-day (excludes weekend delivery). An order received after midday on Friday will be delivered Tuesday. Items that can be delivered via Express Delivery are represented by the following symbol:
An Express Delivery service is available on items with this symbol. The cost is £5.00 per delivery address in addition to the standard P&P charges. The Highlands, N. Ireland and UK islands may take an extra day. Not available to Channel Islands or Eire. A signature is required on receipt and all delivery costs are non-refundable.
